  New arena in Seattle
Posted: 7/7/2008 9:59 am

I have a couple of ideas for the new arena. The first is this: If the NBA wants to have input (i.e design it), then make sure they pay for at least half of it. The second, if the NBA does not want to help pay for a new arena is this: Build the arena so that both the NHL and NBA can utilize it. Then offer primary tenant status to the league which signs up first. That way the NBA can not use us as a pawn. Instead they will have to react fast, and will not be able to be in the drivers seat as for terms of use.

Gas pretty much said it. Although the KEY will not be updated, there will be something in the KEY on a consistent basis, and the major will be happy.
NBA.... no.
NHL.... no.

It's call CONCERTS!

There's also the new arena proposal that former Sonic Freddie Brown is proposing.

The only way a new Arena will work is to have it funded solely by the private sector so the who run the city/ county/ state don't have a say in it's operation.

concerts have 2 better venues to go to other then the key, the key sucks for concerts. concerts wont keep the center and surrounding businesses thriving.
