Gas flushes pro ball; panders to Huskies
Posted: 2/4/2009 8:19 pm

Honestly, I'm ticked. Driving home tonight I hear Gastineau shilling for the huskies and absolutely flushing pro basketball. Less than 6 months ago he was promoting pro basketball legislation, and now he's saying no one cares. You're just a shill for whoever is in front of you at the time, except of course the listeners, who you cut off at the first opportunity. I remember when Schultz first sold to Clay Bennett, and Groz and Gas both trashed the idea of public funds for the stadium, only to then promote it constantly last year. Gas is only for the cause of the moment. But, like the Sonics, it's out of sight, out of mind. Lets save Husky stadium? If it's dangerous, shut it down. What a crock! KIRO 710 here I come. There's a reason radio jocks aren't considered journalists, and Gas is exhibit #1.

How about flushing the Sounders and still making love to the Huskies football program? Just teasing.

I would love to hear more about the Sounders besides the score and attendance. There are some juicey topics that will blow up the phone lines such as

MLS needs to:
- Remove the salary cap
- Respect the international FIFA schedule
- Do better in Concacaf Champions League
- Drop conferences for single table
- Eliminate All Star game
- Love the US Open Cup
- Improve attendance throughout the league besides Sounders and Toronto FC
